ADK Tutorials

There are many tutorials that will be available for the new ADK.   They will be posted here as well as crosslinked on the main tutorials page.  At this time, here is what tutorials are available:

Using the ASIC Design Kit for Schematic Driven Layout

This is an HTML tutorial that documents the entire SDL flow from creating schematics for a NAND2 and INV gate, to simulating them in QuickSim and Accusim, performing full-custom layout and extraction/LVS.  Then these gates are put together for hierarchical design and layout/extraction/LVS and then to backannotated simulation.

ADK Cell Design Manual and Tutorial

This is an HTML tutorial that documents the cell design rules and gives an example of designing an AOI22 gate.  This will be used to train the summer interns and is useful for others who want to design their own cells.  It could also be a basis for a general IC cell design tutorial.  This tutorial requires the developer version of the ADK to be fully complete.

The focus of this tutorial is on creating standard cells for the ADK.  For a more general look at full-custom digital design, see the above tutorial.

Mach-TA Tutorial

This is an HTML tutorial that gives a basic overview of how to use Mach-TA to do some rise/fall time and delay simulations of extracted SPICE netlists.
